COVID-19 Concerns


I know you've probably gotten a lot of emails recently telling you how this or that company is committed to the health and safety of their employees and customers. You're probably also getting tired of seeing the same corporate statement over and over again, just with different logos. Here at High Tide Gifts, we have no employees to send home, and since the work that I do is all from home anyway, it's business as usual here, even while isolating (I’m calling it "isolation" rather than "quarantine" because neither of us is sick).

I've been in contact with all of our suppliers, and they are adhering to their local safety procedures, so all's well on their end. 

Testing has shown that while the virus can survive on a counter long enough to be a problem for an in-person checkout line, our shipping times are longer than it's been able to hold on. From the World Health Organization's Q&A page:

Is it safe to receive a package from any area where COVID-19 has been reported?

Yes. The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.
